In the last few days I was thinking about going to cinema to see one of these movies – Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, Saw III and Children of Men. DVD release of all of them is far away – cinema was the best choice.

After short search I found cinema ticket for reasonable price. Film was great – I was laughing all the time. I recommend it to everyone ;).

But I was negativly impressed by British cinemas. Ad-spots in the beginning are similar to Czech ones. After that they try to fear the people with some anti-piracy shit and information that you can be put into the jail for filming of the movie, etc. There are also two infra-red camers in front of the hall – I hate these Big Brother improvements.

I went for a short trip to Brighton on Saturday. Weather was really nice – there were just short showers during the day .. and one big in the evening ;). I recommend to visit Royal Pavilion – you have to pay for entrance but it's worth have.

If you decide to go to Oxford by coach, don't forget to take your notebook or WiFi enabled PDA with you. Oxfordtube coaches offers free electricity plug and WiFi connection ;).

I was surprised that there is new law effective from September 2006 which requires passengers to wear seatbelts on all long distant coaches in UK.

Cestou v metru mě pobavila srovnávací reklama na Pepsi MAX ;). Pro vysvětlení – ZERO je označení pro podobný výrobek od Coca-Coly (Coca-Cola ZERO).

Minulý víkend jsem se po několika týdnech příprav přesunul z Prahy do Londýna. Pár dní před koncem zkouškového období se mi podařilo odstranit poslední překážku odjezdu – dokončit všechny požadované zápočtové písemky a zkoušky ve škole. Pokusím se občas něco sepsat ohledně příprav a průběhu přihlašování do studentského programu Socrates/Erasmus a života v Anglii.

Z Prahy jsem vyrazil v sobotu autobusem, předpokládaný termín přijezdu 11:15 místního času. Na webu StudentAgency jsem nenašel zmínku o tom, jestli autobus jede EuroTunelem nebo se plaví trajektem. Až do odjezdu jsem doufal, že bude platit druhá varianta .. jak jistě tušíte, jelo se EuroTunelem ;). Na hranicích mezi Francii a Velkou Británií si nás celníci vyhlídli, vyházeli celý autobus a všechna zavazadla zrentgenovali – notebook naštěstí prohlídku přežil. V Londýně mě pak čekala doprava metrem, asi 20 minut pěšmo ke škole a následné ubytování na koleji.
